Welcome to the first website for the 1965 Class of Garland High School in Garland, Texas.
This proud class was the first of the baby-boomers to graduate from GHS as well the last class of Garland High School before they split the school and added another high school to the town. We are also the class that twice won the state football championship (1963 and 1964) in the largest school division. When the Beach Boys sang "Be True To Your School," it really hit home for us. We will forever and fondly remember Garland High and the many friendships that arose from its hallowed halls.
We have established this website as a way of communicating with one another over the miles that separate us. The site will celebrate old memories, announce forthcoming activities and make accessible various materials from our past, such as yearbooks, photos of reunions, and class photos from long ago. We welcome your ideas and feedback. We think we've found every single member of our class as well as all of the teachers and administrators. But, if for some reason, we overlooked you, perhaps because you weren't there our senior year, were yearbook shy or whatever, please let us know. Please send your suggestions to Steve Rhodes.
