Looking for a place to stay at a great rate?

Many of your out-of-towners have been asking about whether we'll be reserving a block of hotel rooms for the reunion as we did last time. The answer is YES.

Karen (Nickens) Whiteside [Karen@Kwhiteside.com], a member of our reunion committee and an excellent travel agent that you should consider for your traveling needs, has again reserved us a block of rooms at the same place that pleased those who stayed there last time -- Homewood Suites.

Karen says:

I have arranged a block of rooms for our Reunion at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Plano/Richardson, at the intersection of Jupiter and Bush.  This is the same hotel we used in 2005.  I always go to visit any new hotels that open in our area, and I must tell you that none of them offer the quality or the rate of the Homewood Suites.  They have maintained this property to perfection and -- they offered us the same rate as 2005.  There are many more restaurant option in this area than in 2005.

So here are the stats:

• I have blocked 9 one bedroom suites for the nights of June 25 and 26, 2010 @ the nightly rate of $89.00 + tax.   You can request a room with a King or two Queens.

• I have blocked 1 two bedroom suite for the nights of June 25 and 26, 2010 @ the  nightly rate of $139.00 + tax. The rate includes a full, hot breakfast each morning, complimentary parking, and use of their lovely pool/outdoor area.

• Check-in is 3:00 pm on Friday and check-out is 12:00 on Sunday.

• Our block will be held until June 11, 2010.  After that date, rooms that have not been reserved will be released.

• To make a reservation, call the hotel directly, 1.800.225.5466, and ask for a rate in the Garland High School Class of 65’ Reunion block.  The hotel will provide cancellation information.
